Group conversations in Outlook 2010.

23Mar2010

Our IT Department Hosted have been playing with the new version of outlook this month, and so far we have been very impressed with the new version.

There are lots of new features that are incorporated into the new version, let's take a look at one of the new toys we will get to play with, group conversations.

I suppose you could say that it is a bit like windows messenger with email! Outlook 2010 gives you the ability to have group conversions via email that all appear within the same window, you will be able to invite people into a fresh topic and you will also have the ability to ignore ongoing conversations which means emails of the same topic go straight into the trash.

You also have the ability to expand and collapse group conversations. Group conversations will also work within Outlook web access and great credit must go to Microsoft for making the new version of OWA fully compatible not just with their own browser, but with Firefox as well.

Outlook 2010 with Hosted Exchange.

All Hosted Exchange customers will be able to benefit from Outlook 2010 once the full version is released. Hosted Exchange is a great way to benefit from an enterprise class email system without the overheads of an in-house solution.
