Our IT Department have been providing Hosted Exchange services to our clients since 2008. The past two years has seen a gradual growth in the service, but in the past 6 months we have seen the popularity of Hosted Exchange go through the roof to a degree where we have expanded our infrastructure to cope with the demand.
And it's not just businesses with a large amount of users that are moving away from the good old fashioned in-house exchange server. We have also noticed a big rise in the amount of single users and small businesses with between 1-5 members of staff.
It seems that people are finally starting to trust hosted services, and not before time to. People's perception of in-house hardware means that they feel comfortable using it, because it's right there, sitting in your server room in your office, safe from the outside world. But the reality is that an external hosted server is no different from using an in-house solution, it's just in a different location that you cannot see.
The security and safety of using a hosted exchange server should never be doubted and in-fact, we would guaranteed that your email will be more secure on our servers then on your own in-house hardware.
One of the main reasons why people move over to hosted exchange is the cost. In the current climate, people (especially office managers and IT Managers) are under pressure to save money wherever they can. Typically, IT is one of the first areas where costs are cut so when the opportunity to save some money and improve your existing service arises, not many IT savvy people turn it down.
The Hosted Exchange formula;
State of the art Microsoft Exchange Service from the cloud + lower running costs + no hardware outlay = a no brainer.
As a guestimate, I would suggest that by the end of 2010, our Hosted Exchange customer base will have grown by at least another 30%. If you want to find out more about the service then by all means contact a member of our team and we will talk you through the service.
